Resultado y Pronóstico

Hemos precisado que el aspecto clínico y funcional del pie es el factor más importante en la calificación de un resultado final en un Pie Equino Varo Congénito Idiopático tratado. La mayoría de las veces no existe una adecuada correlación entre el aspecto clínico y los hallazgos radiográficos y posiblemente por esta razón, no apreciamos los estudios radiológicos como un puntaje para calificar nuestros resultados.

Sin embargo, algunas condiciones radiológicas después del tratamiento, son importantes para determinar un resultado y establecer un pronóstico 20, 56, 58, 73.

  1. ANGULO DEL CALCÁNEO (Bohler):
    – Medida del Desarrollo del Calcáneo.

Schlafly, en 1985 (73) propuso valorar el desarrollo del Calcáneo a partir de la medición del ángulo de Bohler, considerando que valores con incremento de los intervalos de normalidad (n: 18º a 40º con promedio de 29º)indicaban pobre desarrollo de la tuberosidad del Calcáneo por debilidad de los gastrosóleos, debida a excesiva elongación del tendón de Aquiles.
